Continuing with the installation of ASM, by following the documentation (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/nasm/1.1.16?topic=noi-installing-ocp-watson-aiops-via-airgap) at item 9 shows an error as it does not meet the prerequisites of the kubernetes version (image1 attached) but OCP 4.10 has the updated version.

When entering the OpenShift console in the OperatorHub menu, the "IBM Netcool Agile Service" is observed when selecting it and clicking on install shows an error message of conflict with the operator (attached images).

We appreciate your indications to be able to continue with the installation of the ASM in the watsonaiops that we have in a Red Hat OpenShift cluster.

    Please,

    Hi Saury,

As I can't see the mentioned errors/screenshots, I'd encourage you to open a support case on this issue. https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/

    Thanks,

    John

    Hi Saury,

Thanks for your update and screenshot. Thanks also for confirming you have a case open, I've taken a quick look at the case you mention.

It looks like you may have completed an AI manager install? If that is the case, then the 'Agile Service Manager' component may likely already be installed and ready to use, ASM is refereed to as the 'topology manager' component of your Ai Manager installation, and as such, you shouldn't have a need to install ASM separately if you already have a working AI manager install.

    Thanks and Kind Regards,

    John

In this case, AI manager is not being installed, Event manager was installed and the documentation indicates that ASM is installed separately.

    Hi Saury,

    Thank you for your update.

OK, Yes, The same is also true for Event Manager, by default the Topology Manager component (ASM) will be installed and should be ready to use when you install Aiops Event Manager. No additional installation of ASM is necessary if you have completed an Event Manager install.

The intention behind the instructions you linked to second is to provide the ability to install ASM as a stand-alone product on OpenShift. Though it does mention this at the start: "To install a stand-alone version of Agile Service Manager on RedHat OpenShift Container Platform for use with IBM Watson AIOps (and without NOI)" , I appreciate that the documentation has mislead you here, do you have any suggestions on how or where we can improve it to make this clearer?

    Thanks and Kind Regards,

    John

Correct, it was installed, but it does not appear in the Event Manager and a case does not appear on how to see it or enter when one installs the event manager, that is why we are installing the ASM.
    Nowhere in the documentation

The case is that the Event manager is already deployed but the topology issues do not appear, check the image.

    Hi Saury,
In Event Manager, ASM can be configured through 'Topology Configuration', and the resources can be access through 'Resource Management':
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/noi/1.6.7?topic=systems-managing-applications-viewing-topologies

Keep in mind that additional user roles need to be added to make the topology menus appear:
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/noi/1.6.7?topic=systems-missing-topology-analytics-menus

Hi, thank you, the error was for the additional user roles.

    Regards.
