Hi Angus
Thank you. I will keep my eye on Seismic to see how the pricing will work for these inclusions when we have client opportunities.
Kind regards,
Birgit

Hi Birgit,
CP4WA is a single part number (other than a couple of extensions) that gives you access to a number of functions and you can mix and match within that Pak.
It comes with Topology Manager (aka ASM of old) and you license the functions you might need, as you rightly state:
- IA (Infrastructure Automation) (What was Infrastructure Management in CP4MCM)
- Event Management (old NOI)
- Metric Manager (old Predictive Insights yes, but also new in beta kubernetes version too)
- AI (Artificial Intelligence) Manager - This is the smart new technology that does for log/unstructured data what PI does for metrics. It also pulls all the data into a story via chatops (Slack/Teams) or via its own AI Hub (UI) that lets you see many issues as a single story and helps you root cause/fix those quickly. There is also a Change Request Advisor, that reads your past incidents/changes and auto ranks new changes based on your past data.
- ITM/ITCAM are also part of the Pak too.
In summary CP4WA is the modern vehicle to acquire the existing products we know and love as well as the new functions mentioned above. As you exploit more function from the Pak the better your capability to manage to modern/complex world and avoid slow downs/outages.

Subject: Does Cloud Pak for Multicloud Management still exist?
Hi Angus
Thank you very much. The documents on Seismic explain clearly what the way forward is.
Am I correct in understanding that CP4WAIOPS now has 4 subsets:
- IA (Infrastructure Automation)
- Event Management (old NOI)
- AI (Artificial Intelligence) Manager
- Metric Manager (old Predictive Insights)
Could be confusing with AI and IA :-)
Thank you again.
Kind regards,
Birgit

Hi Birgit,
From a sales perspective CP4MCM does still exist and you can see what functions are in it from the documentation.
https://cloud.ibm.com/docs/cloud-pak-multicloud-management?topic=cloud-pak-multicloud-management-getting-started-23
That said, we are transitioning away from CP4MCM to CP4WAIops instead as that offers broader AIOps capabilities. Most all of the function of CP4MCM can be found in either CP4AIOps (Like APM, Infrastructure Automation and more) or from Red Hat with the Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM) and Red Hat Ansible functions.
As a partner take a look here at how best to go forward with AIOps and MCM:

Subject: Does Cloud Pak for Multicloud Management still exist?
Good day all
For the last year it has looked as if CP4MCM is not a focus product anymore. I am sure this has to do with the acquisitions of SevOne and Turbonomic. I have also seen on Seismic that the information that used to be on the CP4MCM slides moved across to the CP 4 Watson AIOps slides, although I am not sure where that functionality lies in CP4WA.
Is there someone that can give me a clear answer on whether CP4MCM still exists and what it consists of?
Thank you and kind regards,
Birgit
