Answer of the day: What are the options for disaster recovery and high availability?

  • 1.  Answer of the day: What are the options for disaster recovery and high availability?

The following disaster recovery and high availability options are available:

    • Install on a single cluster. You can back up the data from this primary cluster to an S3-compatible object store. To recover from a disaster that affects your IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation deployment, install on a recovery cluster and restore the backed-up data to the recovery cluster. For more information about disaster recovery, see  Disaster recovery
    • Install on three or more clusters in an active-active configuration for high availability (HA). For more information about installing in an active-active configuration, see  Installing in an active-active configuration for high availability.

Thank you for providing information about the disaster recovery and high availability options for IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation.

It's great to know that there are robust options available to ensure continuity and resilience in deployments. Installing on a single cluster with backups to an S3-compatible object store provides a solid disaster recovery strategy. Additionally, the option to install on three or more clusters in an active-active configuration for high availability offers even greater resilience against potential outages.

I appreciate you sharing these options with us. If there are any specific considerations or recommendations you have regarding implementing these strategies, please feel free to share them. Our team values your expertise and insights as we work towards ensuring the reliability and stability of our deployments.

Thank you again for your thorough explanation, and we look forward to exploring these options further.
