Does IBM APM include a synthetic monitor component different from IBM Website Monitoring? If yes, what's the difference with IBM Website Monitoring?

Website Monitoring is the agent/product name for synthentic transactions in the IBM APM offerings. The one distinction is that with APM and APM Advanced, version 8.1.3 on-premise includes Website Monitoring functionality. With an on-premise deployment you would stand up your own Points of Prescence server(s) within your environmen as opposed to IBM's Points of Prescence when using APM SaaS. With APM or APM Advanced SaaS the Website Monitoring is an add-on service and additional cost. Both offerings (on-prem and SaaS) rely on Selenium IDE as the method of you would use to create/record test scripts - there are a number of guides and documentation available for creating quite sophisticated scripts.
