Originally trained in (clinical) psychology and (quantitative) behavioral research, I became smitten with technology and computing just as I was completing my Ph.D.

Over the course of my career, I was one of the earliest practitioners of behavioral economics, using data and analytics to support/inform my work.

I have so many interests! I'll mention just a few here:
  • Ethics in behavioral economics and AI;
  • Mapping and GIS as strategic tools;
  • Trade routes, ancient to modern, and their role in society/technology/culture;
  • The work of Amartya Sen.
